shrunken breast

about 8 weeks ago i noticed what i thought was my right breast getting larger. 6 yrs ago i had a lift/reduction so this really freaked me out. To make a long story short when i went for a mamogram it was actually that my left breast had shrunk. A LOT. i know your thinking how could i not notice but i was too focused on the larger breast. By the way it was the same size it had always been. My left breast is about the size and feel of a baseball. A cup size smaller than the other. They done an immediate biopsy but said it had no characteristics of cancer but was at the same time very aggressive by coming on so quickly. My GP is thinking scar tissue cutting of the blood supply. Would this cause shrinkage? Will i lose my breast?

If the blood supply were cut off to the breast I would think there would be other symptoms than just the reduction in size. I would advise you to consult a Breast Specialist and take your films with you OR your Plastic Surgeon may also be able to shed some light on this issue. If as you state this started 2 months ago I wouldn't call it "all of a sudden" though. Seeing a Breast Specialist would still be my first thought.   Regards ....
