After my second chemio (AC) my mouth and throat are so sore that I have trouble swallowing and a disturbing cough, what can I do?

I'm sorry you are experiencing this side effect. Miracle Mouthwash will help with the sore mouth!

Please contact your oncologist with all side effects and I would do that quickly. Let them determine what needs immediate treatment to help you through the course of treatments.

The trouble swallowing is not something to ignore, it could be an allergic reaction requiring steriods. Please don't wait to contact your physician even on the weekend!

Best wishes.

You need to discuss this with your oncologist.  I suffered from the same thing and my oncologist prescribed a mixture called "Miracle Mouthwash" that was available by prescription from my pharmacy.  I think it was a special mixture that he had made up, but I can't remember what was in it.  The other thing I used was a mixture of baking soda and salt in a glass of warm water.  I would gargle with this several times a day...whenever I felt like I needed it.  I also developed sores inside my mouth and this helped with that.
It is also possible that you have developed a viral infection.  Chemotherapy lowers your resistance to virtually none and you are more likely to get things like colds or viruses.  That's why it is important for you to be evaluated by your oncologist.
I hope you are feeling better soon.
