what are the most confortable implantsfor resconstuction after mastectomy

Japdip, zouzi, bb:
I will be finishing my Chemo treatments soon, and the Plastic Surgeon, who is filling my tissue expanders ,recommended 3 kinds of implants: the Gummy bears silicon inplants, the regular Silicon, and the
Salines.I have been expirience pain and disconfort everytime I get expanded. That is since November 2011.(bilateral mastectomy)
I Care how my breasts are going to look, but most important is to feel normal and without this RUBBERBAND feeling I had for months.I ask him, about all the above and he could not answer my question, after all he is a male doctor. Please, I will apreciate your advise, again , for me , what is most important is to get rid of the AWFUL CONSTANT PREASSURE AND PAIN .I reaserch some  web-sides, but there is nothing to answer my questions.
Thank you all, and God Bless

Here are a couple of links to artivles which discuss the pros and cons of silicone versus saline implants. They deal  with safety and the feel compared to real breast tissue, but don't go into the comfort factor, so they may not provide the information you are seeking. They also do not deal with the gummy bear implants, so you would have to research those separately:

I had DIEP reconstruction which is tissue transfer so I can't speak to the comfort of implants.

I wish I could help with this. Best wishes.

Sorry, no personal experience here but I will add that the discomfort you feel now won't necessarily continue once the final steps are completed. To be honest I'm not sure I would choose but I would want to "feel" with my own hands all the choices before I made a decision. You might also ask if one of your Surgeon's other paitents would be willing to speak with you personally about their experience. Many women are more than willing to share when asked. Never hurts to ask .... the nurses in the office would likely know who might be OK with such a conversation.  Best wishes ....
