breast pumping

So I have been practicing with my breast pump for almost a week now but every time I pump I can only get about 20mls at a time. I just want to pump so dad can help and i can go out and do stuff and grandparents can look after baby. Is it possible for me to pump some milk, store it in the fridge and add to it later?

Just remember that it will only last in the fridge for about 6 days. Beyond that you can't add and it needs to be used. Freezer you can go up to 6 months.

I will combine milk that I've pumped over a 24 hour period. Especially if I'm only getting a small amount each time. Yep just put it in the fridge over the day and then combine it.

So if I were to pump, put what I got in the fridge, pump again a little later, put that in the fridge and when it had cooled combine the milk that would be OK?

As long as milk is the same temp you can definitely add to it.
