Hi
No kennel cough generally causes a deep, harsh, hacking cough but does not affect appetite or overall health.
You might get a culture and sensitivity of the lymph node along with the biopsy report. Having the lesion cultured will confirm exactly what bacteria is responsible and then you will also have a sensitivity report telling you the best antibiotic to clear the infection.

I am sorry to hear about your dog and glad to help.
Please get a copy of the actual biopsy report and then let me know the exact type of cancer and then I can offer specific suggestions to help you and let you know whether or not spreading of the cancer is a concern for your dog.
You are welcome to contact my office directly if that would be helpful.
Best Wishes

Hi I just want to say thank you very much for answering my post.
I was at the vets today getting tyson's stitches removed it went well just one part did not heal it is like a circle the size of the top of my finger the did not heal, she gave me cleaner and a syring to put in the whole to clean it out and if it does not heal in a week bring him back and put him under a local anaestethic and put another stitch in it. She was asking me to have an xray done but i was unsure so i didnt. She explaned it a lot better to me today about everything. but she said the only way she can tell if it has spread is an xray or ultrasound, his lymph node was a bit swollen but she said that was because of the infection in his stitches and gave him another antibiotic thats the third one he has had.
Also i tought he had kennel cough because he had it when he was a pup and it sounded the same. The vet told me that it was not kennel caugh so she pinched his neck and he did not caugh and then he started to caugh a lot and she said very sorry for not beliveing me.
He picked up the kennel caugh in there when they took him over night and put him on a drip before the operation, we also have two small dogs and now they are also caughing.
I was wondering because he has kennel caugh would that make him not want to eat and seem very down and just not his usuall self and sleeping alot at the min.
Thank you very much for your help i really appreciate it.
Kind Regards
Lyndsey
