$ help for treatment ?

I have a good friend who was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She just had surgery. Now, they want to start chemotherapy in about 2 weeks. She has a low monthly income and no insurance. Any suggestions on how she can help get paying for treatment?

Also check out the www.laf.org - thats the Lance Armstrong Foundation (the LiveSTRONG folks) and Gilda's Place.  Also, National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.

Good luck to your friend.

Contact your local health department and inquire about Medicare or Medicaid; call the hospital and ask for their foundation; check with your local cancer society; and check with your local non-profit health care organizations.  There is help out there but it can be difficult to find.
