I'm a 52 year old male who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes two years ago. This past February 2017 I was urinating more than I thought I should. So I went into see my doctor. They did a urinalysis and found blood in my urine with no sign of a UTI. With my smoking history and my age they referred me to a urologist. So I went to see the urologist. The first visit they did another urinalysis and a rectal exam. They said the urinalysis was clear and that my prostate was a little enlarged but nothing remarkable for my age. They ask me to come back in two weeks. They did a CT scan of my pelvic and abdominal area. They did a PSA blood draw and a cystoscopy. They said that everything looked good. So I went back to life as normal. But then fear kicked in and I was afraid they missed something. So I started going to urgent care and the Emergency department all the time. They said all my lab work was ok and completed two CT scan of my head, 3 chest xrays and said everything was normal. My regular Doctor says that I'm suffering from Health Anxiety. She put me on Effexor XR 37.5mg and then upped it too 75mg. I got really spaced out on the 75mg dose and we went back to 37.5mg. Now I'm on amlodophine 10mg once a day, motoprol tartare 25mg twice a day, and losartan 100mg once a day. I'm always tired and my lower back hurts. Could this be caused by these medications or am I right to think they missed something? Should I trust what they are telling Me? Is this all my anxiety getting the best of me? I just need some reassurance.
