CA19-9

I have had weight loss and a pulmonary embolism recently. My CA19-9 has come back flagged with a 172. I have not been diagnosed with anything yet, but is this considered high and how concerned should I be? What are my next steps?

Hello, welcome to the forum. We apologize in the delay in response. Very sorry to hear about your concern. Since you posted this, has there been an update? What prompted the tumor marker test? In a healthy person, levels are normally 37 or below so am sure you are concerned. Please let us know the situation as it stands now and we'll go from there. https://www.pancan.org/facing-pancreatic-cancer/diagnosis/ca19-9/
