Me again. I am no health professional, but your symptoms sound like they could be serious. I myself just had a biopsy on Thursday on lymph nodes that have been swollen for 8 months or so. I lost over 100 lbs and have not been feeling hot either. I had a variety of other symptoms - which my doctor though warrented a biopsy.
I am sorry to hear about what you are experiencing. If you are not able to afford to pay for a biopsy or having trouble finding a doctor that will accept a payment plan, go to the ER. In 1986 a federal law was passed to prohibit patient dumping. Just because you cannot afford it or don't have insurance - doesn't mean you deserve to not know what is going on. I know after the fact you will be getting a bill, but it will be set up as a payment plan and usually you can work with the hospital to reduce charges, because they are affraid that they wont get paid anyways. A couple of years ago my mom became ill and had to be taken to the emergency room. She did not have insurance, but she got treated. She got a bill for $6,000 for one night in the hospital. After a while she got a bill, paid only a few hundered dollars and then was not able to make payments on it because of some financial diffuculties. She has three small kids and an now "ex-husband" who drank a lot. I was not able to help her financially as, I was in college and paying my own way as it was. Anyways, she started to get calls from the hospital about the money and one day she simply told the woman "I am not going to pay this bill until I know my children are fed and warm and have clean clothes to wear, I rather have this debt all my life but as long as my kids are happy - i'll be happy. And as far as the hospital visit - What was I supposed to do , curl up and die and not go?" Then she hung up the phone and never heard from them again. They cleared her bill and she didnt have to pay. Sorry for this rant, but please take care of your self and find out whats going on - even if it does mean a hospital bill. A Polish saying goes "Health is more expensive than money"
God Bless!
