WHATS IS THE PROCEDURE FOR CA19-9

hello,my mother has 4.7 mm multiple stones in gall bladder,she has been loosing some weight from 3 months.DR advised us to do CA19-91 ABD CEA,WE DID BOTH .HER CA 19-9A LEVELS WAS AT 56 ( ON HIGHER SIDE ) AND CAE WAS AT 1.3 CAN YOU PLZ HELP IF THEERE IS NO PROBLEM.

The fact that her biliary system is being aggravated by the stones maybe the reason her CA19-9 is elevated mildly. A level of 56 is not very high. But it is good her doctor is looking for other causes, just in case. Let's hope that it is simply due to the gallstones. Btw, my CA19-9 is routinely around 100+, and my biliary system is chronic. Take care and hope all goes well.
