Completely rule out cancer?

Hello thanks for reading. I have been having a bunch of health problems out of no where lately. I have gone through a whole slew of tests from ekg, basic blood work, stress test, hormone test and ultrasound of breasts and armpits. Nothing found except bad cholesterol a little high and testosterone in low to mid range, but within range. I really have become a hypochondriac and have this cancer phobia. I am trying to change my life and become healthier, but this fear is so hard to overcome. I quit smoking (after eight years) and changed my diet. I am slowly starting to exercise more and more. I have never been the healthiest person, but I have never really had any health problems.  I realize I am at risk for other illnesses, but after six months of different unexplained symptoms that might be due to low testosterone I have developed this cancer phobia. I realize this could be mental and I might need psychiatric help, but if I can rule out cancer I will feel more comfortable getting help. Please help I see my doctor next week and I am going to request to see and endocrinologist to try and figure out why my testosterone is low. Anyway is there a blood test or panel that can rule out cancer?

Please be as descriptive as possible I am willing to pay out of pocket if insurance will not cover it.

Will insurance pay for the test to be done? My symptoms are gynecomastia, erectile dysfunction, body aches, blurry vision, back pain, headaches, fatigue, soft tender lump on inner thigh and stomach and testicular pain. I have no lumps on or in my testicles that I can feel. I had a basic blood test and a hormone test done nothing indicating testicular cancer, but testosterone was low but within range. Doctor did a testicular exam but no ultrasound. I am not completely honest when I see my doctor about all my symptoms as I am scared.

Hello John,

To me too, it seems you got a cancer phobia. Nevertheless you may got for few blood tests like CEA, AFP. But this all are just what we call them as tumor markers.

Get a thorough body checkup- CT scan of chest and abdomen and pelvis, get your thyroid workup done. Your anxiety will lessen when all these tests would turn out to be negative and thus you would be overcoming your phobia. It is reallya dvisable that you see a psychiatrist if you are so much bothered. I am sure he can be of much help to you John.
Keep me in loop.
Regards.
