Understanding CT scan results
Finished treatment for stage IIIA colon cancer in August. On six month follow up CT scan of abdomen/pelvis, the radiologist noted: "Uterine heterogeneity with prominence of the cervix/lower uterine segment. Recommend correlation for dysfunctional uterine bleeding, pelvic pain or neoplastic process." What does this mean? All other scans results/blood work seem clear/normal.
Understood, on calming though that comes to my mind is: if the radiologist saw anything he/she diagnosed as emergency that would have been shared with your doctor for immediate action, as needed.
This thinking doesn't give you a "clean bill of health", but hope if offers some comfort.
