Could it be cancer?

I am 22 years old and am generally healthy. I have always had a fear of developing cancer. My concern is with my lymph nodes particularly in my groin. I remember the first time i felt them i freaked out, and that was about 5 years ago. I went to the doctor and everything was normal to him. I have let it go and now I am concerned again. A few months back i had a ultrasound done on them. I was sent to the surgeon who said they looked normal except one which was larger than the others. i think he said it was 2cm but i cant remember exactly. He said he could do a biopsy but i shouldn't worry about it, so i left and never got it done. Everytime i get blood work it comes back normal and I'm going again tomorrow. I don't know what else to do, and i cant get rid of this fear. I am always pretty tired i don't know if that relates, and i also had mono maybe 8 or so years ago which again i don't know if it relates or not. Would love some input. Thank you.

I'm not here to scare you but blood work is just a base line of what's normal for most people but it may not be normal for you. At least that's what my onc. told me. If he suggested a biopsy at one point I definitely would get one.
My levels were normal too and everything was not alright.  After my biopsy they did a P.E.T scan which showed nothing, it was normal, uptake didn't work. Then they did a C.A.T. scan which actually worked. Both biopsy and C.A.T. scan showed pos.  So if you think something is off don't let it drop, this is your body you know when somethings not right don't let it go until you have an answer.
I am not trying to say it's cancer, it could be any number of other things but I would make them rule out all of them so you know exactly what your dealing with.  It could just be your body fighting an infection?  Is it always inflamed?

He didn't really suggest it he said if I wanted to then he would do it, but he said not to worry about. When i run my fingers on that area i cant feel them, but if i push a little then i can start to feel some
If it was 2 cm as opposed to what size is the question?  It is whatever makes you feel comfortable and keeps your peace of mind, is what you should do. Please keep us informed, and I really do wish you the best of luck, I hope and pray it's nothing out of the ordinary.
