Could my son have Lymphoma?

My 15 month old son has three enlarged, Occipital lymph nodes on the left side of his head. He's always had them, the largest is about the size of a pea. They are kind of rubbery and don't really move or cause him pain. They never go away even when he is completely well. I decided to take him to the doctor who sent him for blood tests. The results showed he is mildly anaemic and that his LDH levels were at 616 which is apparently raised. We now have a repeat blood test in three weeks and an appointment with a paediatrician in a month. My son has no other symptoms apart from a dry cough which he has sometimes but it doesn't both him often.
Are LDH levels this high worrying? And could anaemia or a growth spurt cause the levels to get high? I'm sorry if these are stupid questions I am just scared that my son may have cancer. Any advice or experience positive or negative would be appreciated so that I can prepare myself. Tia x

Hi Tia, sorry you haven't had more responses here, I understand how worried you must be about your son.
I have Lymphoma, and while long term enlarged lymph nodes are a symptom, so are drenching night sweats, appetite loss and significant weight loss. I lost 8kg this year.
I think if your son is otherwise well (i.e.: eating, normal weight and no night sweats) that's a good sign.
Good luck.

Thank you so much for replying. I think I am driving myself a little crazy on Google to be honest. I've done so much research on things I don't really fully understand. We have decided to see how the paediatrician appointment goes and then possibly get a biopsy of a node done privately if we are still worried for peace of mind.
I am so sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I really hope your treatment goes well and that you make a full and speedy recovery. Good luck to you too xxx
Stay away from Google, the last thing you will get is comfort and answers :)
I think a fine needle biopsy is a great idea, that will give you something definitive to go on.
I hope your son is doing well.
Thanks for your kindness and wishes. I was told today I am stage 4 with lymphoma in my neck, chest, spine, spleen and abdomen. I need a very aggressive chemo regime - that will be fun :)
Have a good day there.
