meant a lot to me. :)
doctors have ordered an x-ray to be done.
just waiting for the results.
Hi.
Basing on your description and your previous posts, it is unlikely that it is cancer. Consider also your age (15 years old). Age is a risk factor for a lot of cancer, bone cancer included. Cancer most commonly affects the aging population.
Please do post your updates.
Take care.
Thanks Dennis MD! i'll go see a doctor tomorrow. i'll follow your advice.
Will keep you posted about the results of tests that would be done.
Hope you would still help me out.
again, thank you! :)
Last question, uh.. do you think this could be cancer? What percentage do you think that it could be bone cancer? thanks a lot!
Thanks for your concern I'm glad I came across this forum where I found those who would help me. Like you and Dennis MD. :)
Hi, I know I cannot be of any help to you, but I am so glad Dennis MD has advised and helped you all he can. you are only 15 and , to me, this seems very young to be doing all this worrying on your own. I really hope you will very soon manage to see a doctor who will organise all the necessary tests for you, and Good Luck. I will be thinking of you. Romona
Hi.
You can go to your primary care physician or your pediatrician for initial evaluation. You will then be referred, if needed, to a specialist depending on the initial evaluation.
Examples of laboratory examination include a urinalysis, C3, ANA, rheumatoid factor. A CT scan or an MRI of the knee/leg can also be done.
Thanks for helping out sir.
Mind if I ask a few questions?
What kind of doctor should I go and see? An Orthopedics?
Does this already cross out bone cancer?
And what tests should still be done?
Thanks again!
Hi again.
You complete blood count result showed some degree of anemia and leucopenia. The hemoglobin, hematocrit, and white blood cell count were below the normal reference value. There are many disease conditions that can present with these results, including the ones that were mentioned previously. Other tests need to be done in order to be more definite of the diagnosis.
You need to go back to your doctor for further evaluation.
Regards
I've had a blood test done. I don't know if its bad or it has a connection w/ my knee problem.
MY RESULTS: REFERENCE VALUE:

WBC Count = 4.50 5 - 10 x 10^9 / L
RBC Count = 3.50 4.5 - 5.5 x 10^12 / L
Platelet Count = 200 150 - 350 x 10^9 / L
Lymphocites = 0.48 0.20 - 0.40
Neutrophiles = 0.53 0.40 - 0.60
THANKS SO MUCH!
Hi.
How are you doing?
It would be hard to tell exactly whether the pain/discomfort that you are experiencing on your right knee or leg is secondary to a benign or malignant condition without the benefit of physical examination and diagnostic procedures. There are a variety of benign diseases that can cause such symptom. A juvenile rheumatoid arthritis can be one of the considerations. Autoimmune diseases can also have symptoms pertaining to the joints or bones.
I suggest you seek consult with another doctor if your present doctors do not listen to what you are saying. You have been symptomatic for about a year, and the cause still needs to be determined. Work-ups need to be done.
Take care.
