Kidney Canacer Mets in Lings

Hellow, in 2008 my Dad has kidney cancer, we didi operation adn both the kidney and the cancer were removed, this week we didi a routine xray on his lungs, the doctor adviced to do CT and there are upto 7 metastasisi in his lungs, both of them, mainly in lower parts, but also in upper part.
doctors tell us that the only medication for kidney cancer metastasis is Sutent, which also has very servere side effects, I really donot know where to start the treatment or not, if you could advice how they treat kidney cancer emtastasis in your country and if anyone has taken Sutent - how did they theraphy go? didi it have effect?

You didn't say what drs and where told you that information.  Sutent is usedto kill specific proteins in the cancer and it does have some nasty side effects.  I have a friend who is going to the Cancer Centers of America who has pancreatic, lung, and liver cancer that is still here after being given 3-6 months to live in 1997, he's still going, living with cancer.  When cancers are advanced stage 3,4 some of the best places to go are the different specialty hospitals and treatment centers like this one as they treat the whole person, and they have clinical trials they can get you in pretty fast.  Tony has done pretty good!
