Multiple swollen lymph nodes(or lumps) on both sides of my neck

I am currently 20 years old.

About 5 weeks ago i had the symptoms of cold including tiredness and sore throat,
it was diagnosed of common cold, after some rest i recovered. ( At least i thought)

And 4 weeks ago, in just about 2/3 days i had one large lumps (3-3.5cm) appeared on the right side of my neck
( i say 2/3 days cause i only noticed it when it became really large, i didn't know it was there, and it became visible only in 1 day) , at the same time i had serious sore throat and fatigue, not sure if i had fever or not. The doctor said it was Tonsils infection (Viral) ( I always get this. )

However after 3 days of treatment there wasn't any significant progress, so i went to another doctor. This time antibiotic was issued. During that period of time i had night sweats, fatigue, headache and very serious sore throat that i was even reluctant to drink water. Also i discovered multiple lumps (though a lot smaller, around 1cm, and 2 around 2 cm)  After 7days of antibiotics all the symptoms are gone and never happened again.

However, the lumps are still here after 3weeks, they haven't enlarged but remained here.
For the 3-3.5cm one, it is now around 2.5-3cm, and for the two 2cm ones they are now around 1.5cm.
I read from articles that these lumps should disappear after the infection is cured, i'm worried if this is a sign of cancer, especially when i have around 6-7 lumps on my neck.

About the lumps, they are all movable ( if i push it on one side, it moves to the other side)
As for texture, i don't know how to define "hard", i would say rubbery but not like a stone.
As for painfulness, gently pressing the 3cm one does not make me feel "pain", but if i press on the side i do feel a trace pain feeling. And for other lumps, i do feel clear but not serious pain.
No clear redness on the surface.

I've been to 4 doctors, the first 3 all said that i didn't need a scan and that i'm ok,
but the last one said if i'm worried i should go for a scan. So next week i'm going to do it,
but for now i'm really scared.

Thank you for your help and your time.

Thank you so much! I'm not sure if the largest one DID get smaller, but I'm sure it didn't get "larger" either. But i notice one strange thing that the size of the largest one changes all day.

Hope to do the scan soon to get myself relieved, guess i should be happy and dont worry.

Hi there.  It's great that your going to have this further investigated with scan.
You said that the lumps got smaller not larger.  This would be a good indication that its most likely NOT cancer.  Cancer gets bigger - not smaller.
Relax:)
