Needle biopsy cost-no insurance

I have a lump and need a biopsy asap-lump is bigger and uncomfortable-breast-radiologist says I need needle biopsy-I have had mammo's etc.  
I have had difficulty getting exact costs so that I can know what to anticipate. Thnx

I also live in California... San Diego, California.
My pathology results came back benign.
And, I hope everything turns out well for you.

Thank you that is about the costs (lower) than the quote I have been given-hope this doesn't turn into an emergency-thank you for responding-vilou-what state was that-I live in Calif

I had a needle biopsy in my right breast in late 2007.
Because I had no health insurance at the time, I paid out-of-pocket
for its cost. The pathology report was around $200, the cost of the
biopsy procedure was slightly over $1200.
