Hi,
Thanks for the update. It is good that the CT scan and x-rays were fine. However, if the pain persists, additional diagnostic tests may need to be done. You may need to discuss this with your surgeon especially if the pain is in the incision areas. You can also talk to your attending physician and have this evaluated so a referral may be done to a specialist. Take care and all the best.
Most of the complaint now is pain level of 8-9. Some nausea. The nausea comes and then serious pain. I dont know what to do or who to see. The Urology team says it isnt their department, but yet the pain is right at the incision areas. The CTs and X rays dont show anything. So I am kind of at a loss as to what to do and where to go from here.
Hi,
How are you? What other symptoms are present? While recovery from operation varies from one person to another, most people who underwent nephrectomy fully recover and return to regular activities. If the pain persists, it is best that you have this checked for proper evaluation and to rule out possible complications associated with your previous condition or operation. Also, while the remaining kidney provides more than adequate function, it is important that this is also assessed. Take care and do keep us posted.
