R-CHOP neulasta

.  Had 3 treatments of R-CHOP.  Neulasta was given after the last treatment. I have b-20 lyphoma. It has been one week since the last treatment and my WBC count is 900 (ninehundred) Can they now give me a neupogen shot.  I would think they should take a count daily. and give Neupogen if it till it corrects.

Thanks for your reply.  Its now march 4 th.  All seems fine.  I feel good again and not so week.

I guess neulasta's route of elimination keeps it's action (like neupogen) around much longer so that there probably would not be a reason for neupogen at that point.  Thanks

Hi,

The Neulasta will work as well as 11 shots of the Neupogen. This is because, the Neupogen is eliminated by the kidney. Neulasta will be eliminated by the WBC, so Neulasta keeps working for as long as the WBC is low.

Stay positive.
