I was recently admitted for an unknown illness. From my understanding, doctors were between viral infection and allergic reaction. I was treated with IV and oral steroids, benadryl and antibiotics.
I had fever, rash, tachycardia (3 weeks later, tachycardia continues), migraine, fatigue, shortness of breath, difficulty deep breathing, chest pain...
Abnormal labs: WBC 2.4, lmphocytes: 0.6, Platelets 139, low mg, ca and k. PB smear showed: smudge cells, react lymphocytes 2+ and giant platelets. Also had a "false positive" IgM for rocky mountain spotted fever.
Labs 2 weeks after start of illness were on the low end of normal.
Many symptoms continue now a month later. What steps should I take at this point? Should I be concerned if labs were improved last checked?
