Ok, so I have now had a swollen lymph node on the left side of my neck for about a year. I am about to be 22 and I am disconcerted with the fact that it has remained swollen for so long. I have a history of sinus infections but since summer I have been trying herbal remedies such as ImmuBoost, olive leaf extract and claritin D(which is not herbal I know but it seems to help). As a result of these I have not had a sinus infection for about 6 months which is the longest time I ever remember going without antibiotics.
Since I have not had a sinus infection I'm still wondering why the lymph node has not reduced in size. I also now, in addition to the lymph node, have a lump behind my jaw, below my ear on the same side. I have been told that this one is probably muscle but I'm not sold on that yet.
I saw and oncologist who seemed completely unfazed by these two things, and thought a biopsy would be and overreaction. I feel it is strange however for it to have lasted this long. I have been told not to worry about it, but this is something that is always on my mind.
What else could be causing this?
Thank you so much!
