Tenderness Under Armpits And Ribs - Both Sides

I have noticed that the area under my armpit is very tender to the touch on both sides (almost symmetrical) for a couple months.  The tenderness is in the same spots on both sides, the pain is from the breast bone down to the ribs, i was curious if this is something that could be possibly linked to cancer.  I have done some feeling in the area and i struggle to find any worrying lumps, but that doesn't mean i haven't felt anything. I sometimes find what feels like ropes or knots in the area around the pain.  Could this be cancer or is it more muscle related because of bad posture, or other things like tietzes syndrome or fibro.  I never get pains unless that area is touched and hurts a lot more when other people touch it, and never from movements or sleeping. I also do not workout.  I otherwise feel healthy at the moment.  Just curious if anyone has any information or experience with what i am going through.
