For the last year I have been under going many medical tests to determine what is going on in my body. In February I had what I thought was a gall bladder attack, nausea, bloating, sharp pain on right side just under ribs, so I went to the doctor who sent me for an ultrasound. It showed gall sludge, but it also showed a spot on my right kidney and a mass on the adreanl on the right. So the doctor sent me for a CT scan. The NP at my doctors office said I should be tested for Cushings because I had a lot of the physical characteristics.
The CT results stated it was a adenoma, well encapsuled. The doctor sent me for an MRI next, which said it was a myelimpoma. I finally had enough because my fasting blood sugars were still running 180+ in the AM, then botteming out in the afternnon, so I found an Endo and went to see him.
He did a bunch of blood work and urine tests. Free cortisol levels were 1587 (not high but borderline). Catecholamines were significantly high. So he sent me for a nuclear scan, which just came back negative for pheochromocytoma. The doctor also found two cysts on my thyroid at my last appointment. I have no idea what is going on with me. My previous thyroid levels were all normal. What else could cause such symptoms?
