Would pruritis always make you turn yellow before any itching started?

I'm currently very worried that I might have liver cancer as I seem to have something that feels a bit like pruritis. I have no other symptoms ie no blood in my stools, no jaundice, no fatigue, no weight loss or anything else, and the only reason I suspect this is because of haevy drinking in my past, although I hardly ever drink more than two bottles of wine a week these days. Am I worrying unnecessarily?

Pruritis has alot of causes and doesn't necessarily indicate a liver problem.

Have you discussed this with your physician?
