Its ok dont panic, I think most things you read on the internet when you type in your symptoms seem deadly or terrifying, but this is purely lack of fibre. Try taking stool softener. It wont heal your rear end and bleeding may persist for a few months, but the more fibre and fruit you eat the softer your stool and over the next 6 months your bleeding will stop. Its as simple as that. If your bleeding is in excess of the amount you get say on a period then go to the doctors, but many people have this - stop worrying! :)

well im 16 and every so often i find that i get abit of blood on my poo and when i wipe it has a slight tint to it and sometimes on the toilet marks there is a slight red tint to it, i have had quite a few stomach probelms before. and when i have seen abit of blood in my poo it has been after a long weekend of junk food or not eating properly, i find i can feel ill after eating not proper food for a few days but i think blood is abit to much, i have had before when i try and poo  much like a ooze drop out but i thought that just would be some slime that helps your poo come threw and thought nothing of it,, but im thinking i might have like some sort of a week bowl or somthing that dameges easy?? does any 1 now what it might be,, and a nother thing was that i had it a few mounths back and some healthy eating the next day it didnt happen, so if soemone could talk 2 me it would be apreashated,, tar

Hi.  How much blood do you find in the toilet bowl whenever you poo? If it's just a few drops, then you can afford to wait to see your doctor on Monday.  But if the amount is a lot more than that, my suggestion is for you to see a doctor immediately, since you can be losing a significant amount of blood before you know it.  You can also try taking Tranexamic Acid 500 mg capsules thrice daily for 2-3 days, which can help stop the bleeding.

While there is a possibility that the cause of your bleeding is colorectal cancer, hemorrhoids, diverticulitis and even infections with Salmonella or E.coli are still the more common conditions which can cause bloody stools. The chances of you having these non-cancerous conditions are greater than the chances of having cancer. So it's premature at this point to conclude that what you have is cancer. JD is right when he said that the best thing for you to do is not to ignore it and see a doctor at the soonest possible time. Let's hope it's not anything serious. Good luck.

You should be ok til Monday but don't wait beyond that.  I bled from the rectum and assumed it was hemmorhoids so I ignored it for a while.  Big mistake!  When I couldnt ignore it any more I saw a doctor, turns out I had stage 3 rectal cancer.  That was in 2004.  After a lot of really appalling treatment I am now cancer free, but I could have spared myself a lot if I had seen a doctor sooner.

Colorectal cancer is really treatable, earliest possible detection is the key.  Get right to the doctor and please post again with the outcome.  I'll be on the lookout for your update.

Don't panic any more than you can help - even if its bad news there is a LOT they can do for you.  Good luck.
