When I was pregnant they told me that I had cancer cells on my cervix. I was very scared. The Drs. waited until I was 5 months to do a coloposcopy. Which is like a glorified Pap smear done under a magnifiy glass. The will take biopsy samples of the suspected area. Most likely if the results show CIN greater than a two then they may want to cut or burn the cells off the cervix. That is usually done on an out patient basis. Sometimes, all the cells can be removed via the colposcopy. Then she will need Pap smears every 6 months until all is cleared. Mime was a CIN 4. Finally ended up with a hysterectomy 3 years later. NO her weight has nothing to do with cervical cancer. Most cervical cancers orginiate from the HVP virus. A sexual transmitted disease, for which they now have a vaccine for. I encourage all sexually active young women to get the vaccine.
