Hello and welcome to MedHelp's forums. Sorry for the delay in response. Some time has passed and we are wondering if there is any update. This could be a few different things. Is your wound infected? Post surgical infections can occur and are important to treat properly with cleaning of the wound and antibiotics. Were you given antibiotics. Another possibility is a rare situation in which an extra bone formation called ectopic bone. This only happens in about 1 percent of situations though. Can you give us any more information and an update of how you are doing?

The huge bump on my hip has reduced to a small bump but still drains it now been almost 5 months but othet than that i am doing well more stiffness than pain yes i was given antibiotics please keep in mind that this hip was done 3 Times in 3 years including to wash it out after the draining was so much
