massive complex ovarian cyst

my partner has a cystic conditions that makes her prone to cysts. she has had several on her scalp burst and they removed 7. about 15 yrs ago, they removed over a hundred fibroids and a lot of endometriosis.
now she has been diagnosed with a massive (basketball size) complex ovarian cyst.
are cysts that size usually cancerous?
they told her 15 yrs ago that 3 of the ones  they removed were "precancerous" (they were the size of baby heads)

Hi,
How is your partner? What other symptoms are present? To evaluate the complex cyst for malignancy, there are many factors to consider such as the medical history of the patient, age, type, size and location of the cyst. Pelvic examination and additional diagnostic tests such as imaging studies and  CA-125  may need to be done. Exploratory surgery may also be done to help determine if a complex ovarian cyst is cancerous or not. Take care and do keep us posted.
