melanoma on toe - hives ?

Just a question please
I was told by a family memeber - that a melanoma can cause hives ?  iv never heard of this before, and im due to have a melanoma removed this friday by a ortho surgen.  my test results showed no spreading of cancer from the melanoma.  talked to my oncologest and he said due to the tests -its been over 6days now and it should have happen then, not now !  and the melanoma  isnt the cause of the hives !  as well I asked the surgen too about it , he agreed
with the oncologest.  myself I cant find any info on this -melanoma causing hives to happen.  I know stress can do it
but im pretty sure after seeing a E.R doctor and my regular doctor its a allergic reaction to the medication .
as I took the meds yesterday for the last time in small dose , and the rash or hives spread to my upper arms !
with in 2 hours small dots itching ..

im on 2 pills now to treat the symptoms - and also a special cream to stop the hives. as well no itching pills too !
and doctor changed my meds to a beta blocker . so im totaly off the ccb and dieretic
im feeling ok now .. still get some chills and itching a bit..  I did notice this a.m  no itching and hives were lighter in color not as red.. and some spots had vanished -

the melanoma has been on my toe for over 3 months now - it was biopsyed 1 month ago ..
I never had any type of rash since I had this melanoma at all.
but had a world of side effects happen and problems with my two old medications for blood pressure.

but would like to know if a melanoma can cause skin rash or hives on your back and chest and arms..
that travels the body ..im lost for words at this point.. but working to stop these hives. its been 3days now with the hives or big rash !!

Phew! I bet you are relieved the oncologist told you that about the hives and itching.

Is it tomorrow you're going to have the melanoma removed? I wish you luck. Nothing to it at all!

Hey I was on a beta blocker called Bystolic and it actually didn't give me any bad side effects. It's known to be one of the drugs that causes the least side effects. I was taken off of it because I was having shortness of breath and chest pains, but now that I think about it I bet the shortness of breath and the chest pains were actually caused by the Bronchitis I had!

Let me know how things go! I'll be thinking of you!!

Your right on the Mark !
I called my oncologest and he said no way !  he never heard of this before in his life..
it has to be medications doing this.. well I was forced to take a small dose monday..
before seeing my quack doctor for b.p - I broke out on the arms with hives . now off the meds day or two later - the hives color is lighter and fadeing - as well itching fades too
that im on 3 diffrent meds for hives and creams.  its slow but working !
my doctor also changed the meds.. im now on a beta blocker  so far so good got dizzy
1 time.. and a bit odd feeling , but gosh the other effects have vanished totaly.
only downfall is , I cant sleep good - wake up and stay up !!  typical of beta blockers.
so will have to take something natural to sleep or over the counter , that isnt habbit forming to sleep .

I kind of knew this would happen !!  so whats new anyways ?

thanks again for the nice note you sent me..  that ment alot to me !!
as its very hard haveing to deal with this junk daily.

I guess im just allergic to almost everything !

thanks again take care

It has got to be the meds or stress causing this. I never heard of a melanoma causing the hives or a rash and itching. If it was yesterday it was the last time you took the BP meds then I bet the rash and itching will be gone soon. You also said that you searched and couldn't find anything with a connection between a melanoma and hives. I bet it's just the medication you were taking.
