sorry that i don't know whom i can ask

i had abdominal CT scan last week , and the nurse tried to use my right arm vein to install the IV if i say its name right { i mean the plastic injection unit }  , she failled then she turned to the left hand vein and installed the IV , and in the middle of CT she came in and injected the dye in the IV , when i came home the pain started in my left arm elbow and 2 days after that the swelling about 15 cm started with the pain around the elbow ,i thought it maybe infection and took antibiotec Augmentine 625 for many days and pain killer with no progress , now after a week my arm elbow and the area around has too much pain and swelling and i feel my nerves in my arm are like { STIFFED } , the pain also changes its place many times , sometimes under my elbow sometimes over , can you please explain what is going on with my arm ? is it wrong injection of the dye from the nurse? thanks

Sounds like phlebitis, an inflammation of the vein in which the IV was in.  PLEASE GET IT CHECKED ASAP!!!!  Please don't continue to try to treat yourself at home.  CT IV dye/contrast can be harsh on veins causing these types of problems, unfortunately it happened to you.

Keep us posted.
