reoccuring sickness with blood
my boyfriend has blood in his vomit..he feels fit and well with no pain..yet he has been vomitting for almost a year..just lately there has been blood..he is stubborn and hasnt mentioned this..he is in hospital now awaiting a camera..any advice

I can confirm the exact cause only after a thorough medical history and clinical examination. Blood in vomiting can be due to number of causes like gastritis, esophagitis, peptic ulcer, cirrhosis.Serious conditions like tumors of the esophagus and stomach can also cause blood in vomitus.He needs complete evaluation and investigations like complete blood count, blood chemistries, blood clotting tests, and liver function tests. Other tests like esophagogastroduodenoscopy may help. Treatment involves treating the cause and symptomatic treatment. I hope it helps.
