I always have them spayed or neutered and vaccinated. It is an extreme expense for me, but I only have their best interest and wellbeing in mind. I am just trying to keep what expense that I can down. I get very little "help" from anyone. The amoxi caps are 250 mg.

I rescue kitties. I have capsules and tablets of amoxi. My vet is very good to work with me but I was just wonder like on the weekends when the vet is unavailable and I have no doubt that a kitty has an infection, I would like to get it started on an antibiotic asap to avoid the chance of secondary infections such as bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, etc.
these are your antibiotics? why do you think your kitties need antibiotics? what strength are they and how much do the kitties weigh?
you do know that using an antibiotic on cats can be dangerous...you have to be very sure there is an actual infection, than the culture needs to show what antib will work for that strain. and how long it will take to kill it, if you don't use a strong enough dose or not for a long enough time, the infection will return with a vengeance and become a super bug that most antibiotics won't cure..this is than 'antibiotic resistant'
Are you not able to take this cat to a Vet and have the culture done?
I do understand that sometimes there are circumstances when this isn't possible and only than would I help with the info you need...please reply.
