Almost there, dear - they are not red!! Skin there is white,as it ever was.
All the other things fit - and I'm sure they will ask a biopsy if I take her there - they always do it...
Hi AB,
I was just looking in my Veterinary Handbook and the condition you describe could be a thing called Eosinophilic Plaque"
Here is what it says:
This is an itchy skin condition that occurs in young or middle age cats.
It is Characterized by well- circumscribed, raised red plaques with hair loss. This is commonly found on abdomen and inner thighs. These are believed to be caused by allergy.
You will need to get a biopsy to be sure .
Let us know what you learn.
Best to you,
CML
She is not hunting some bigger than insects, if so.
And not eating those, if Im not mistaken
Anyway,I do know she wont refuse chicken ( breast fillet) if something was not wrong.
Thats always my "last try"here- if not working I just keep her hydrated with the chicken broad or domestic fluid ( oral) for a few time
No kibble - normal or a little stressed
No Saches - a little bit indisposed , maybe fur balls
No natural chicken - Alarm warning - keep a close eye on she!
Trying to return to the original post isssue,I still have to get a pic of the damn lack of fur (lLucky)and its also arriving the day to 2nd antiworm pill ...
Thanks!
well thats good news that Lolo is eating again....Apple she does hunt some doesn't she? its possible she is refusing her prepared meals b/c she is supplementing with a good catch now and than?
I am praying for her too, that she won't need another Vet appointment....and hugs for mama too:))
Lolo was the worry last weekend - she was stopping eating ALL ( chicken inclusive)
She barely grab a few on Saturday and I was wondering she was back to those "crises",tried to pick her temperature twice but she didnt wait for time enough and was getting stressed so I gave up.
I was not to much worried because she was more active than would be if with hypothermia -but thing starts just this way.In fact I was wondering she had fever...
Just gave her some drops of an anti-toxic just in case ( is safe, vet aproved,oK?)and wait for.Praying for no need of going vet.
Sunday she started eating better, mercifully -I've spent all day long giving her few portions to compensate the previous day but happy cos she was back.
Now its all normal, cold time helps always...
No pics yet, thing is located in the back members interior part and one of the front leg same place but still small.
No lesions or redness ( eritema ),just lack of fur
Getting pics would be a hell,I cant grab her and the camera at the same time - not Lucky ;-)
Fast msg im leaving - just put the fipronil spary this time, the other kind a few times - they are both quite expensive. So , its not the reasom of any problem
Tell you more yesterday
heres the article I posted with WARNING on the header....
its for Spot On flea and tick products...does not say what the active ingredient is but its no doubt fipronil...or some similar pesticide read these articles carefully apple...:(( many animals are dying for it and it does say HAIR LOSS as a side effect too :((

oh...this second article says to use Cedar Oil or fresh Garlic for a more natural pest control....neither of these are safe to use on cats...so please DO NOT try those.
I know furballsmom has sucessfully used FOOD GRADE Diatomaceous Earth...around the house and yard but not directly on her cat...
Are you able to buy this product in Brazil?

apple....I'm really gonna scare you...but you have to know this for Lolo's sake, the active ingredient of frontline is a pesticide called FIPRONIL and there have been many warnings abt this from many countries...it can cause alot of trouble for animals...even death.
I didn't read the full site, but enough to scare me...I think I posted a similar warning earlier this year and will try and find that one too.
If you read down below the yellow highlighted box...where is says
BODY WEIGHT DECREASE
than under Australia it has in large letters ANIMAL SAFETY ISSUES in that article it states one of the side effects is 'skin reactions' this is in dogs but would sure be the same for cats...

How often are you spraying her with frontline?
That could well be her problem, this is very harsh chemical and from what I remember dangerous to use often.....will look for more info
