Better Chessie kitten photo
This is one from late 2002 a month or so after Chessie came into our home.
She loved (as did Kessie and Hildie) to snuggle up to old Cammie cat.

Chessie and Cammie were such gorgeous cats. I understand what you mean that you never forget the kitties you had that have passed away. The cat I had before Akira died three years before I got Akira, and I'll never forget her either. You can't forget, because they are furry family members.
Cammie was a grand cat all her life. She saw Anita through many dark times and even though we had her company for over 21 years, the loss struck deep.
Even after the second stroke felled her, she was still fighting, ate her last meal while I held her head.
Not a day goes by when we don't think of her or the other kitties who have shared our lives.

WOW Cammie's fur looked good for a 20 yr old. It looks like she was taking care of herself.
Cammie was 20 in this picture, Chessie was 5 months.
...and, yes, she was a pretty girl.

Chessie showed a little muted tortie in her face when we first got her, but everything faded to grey by the time she was 1.
