Thank you for reminding me of that. It was just that they weren't doing this til recently and thought maybe there was something else that was bothering them but nothing has changes accept that they are now over 3 year mark in age.
I love cats, but mine have always been indoor/outdoor cats. Cats seem happiest climbing, hunting and prowling. It's in their nature. Dogs are another story. They are perfectly happy spending most of their time indoors.
Do you have something like a screened porch, where they can be inside and outside at the same time? Then maybe you could let them out occasionally on a halter, and then without. Hunting bugs may keep them from annoying each other.
Cats are basically nocturnal by nature and the "night crazies" that you are describing is something that everyone who shares their life with a cat has to endure.
Ghilly
I live in a private home but they are both indoor cats, so I can't lock them out! They have their sleeping quarters and have had the same quaters in my office at night ince they were 7 1/2 weeks old and are now over 3 years old. They havegreat accomadations, their litter box, food and water, several beds with blankets and I use a dimmer light.
This commotion has just started at maybe for 2 months. So can you think of anything else that may cause them to act up with running and meowing seems to be around 3 a.m. always.
If you live in a private house lock them out at night. It is very difficult to train cats.
