Our 7 yr old cat is very healthy but at her last checkup the blood work revealed an elevated liver enzyme of 135.... it was repeated again in about a month and it was still at 135 - the vet want so go further and do a sonogram, and other blood work/tests at an estimate cost of about $700.00; we are reluctant to incur additional charges as my husband is currently out on medical leave for two months and money is really tight.... our cat Chloe - is not losing weight, is very active and eats well - the only "symptom" would be occasion vomit - every three weeks or so after she has been outside "eating" grass - or sometimes she seems "hungry" constantly..... My husband says to let it ride for the time being unless she starts to show other symptoms; but I am afraid that if that happens, it will be too late if a serious ailment is affecting her; what do you think it could be and should we go ahead and do all the tests the vet is recommending -- or wait a few months and have the blood test repeated again? I love my cat dearly but our money situation is critical due to husband's medical problems.... thank you
