HELP....weakness/limping in hind legs?

I attempted to express my cats anal glands yesterday. I noticed she hadn't been using the litter box for BM and heard that it may be due to this (she has also been pretty constipated). I was able to express alot from one side, but nothing from the other. She seemed fine yesterday but now today she is limping and having a hard time using her back legs. Did I do something wrong? I just used external expression and now I don't know if I hurt her or something. She will turn 12 in 10 days. Any advice?

Hi,

It could be a blood clot- I would go to the dvm to see.

good luck :)

oh aren't u ever  a brave person.....seriously, I don't think the partial paralysis and the expression are related..could be wrong, unless you pinched a nerve or something. But I do think anytime there is a rapid onset of something unexplainable than kitty really needs to see a Vet.....this could be more related to passing a blood clot/thrombosis...and can be extremely painful as well as life threatening!!!
