Help! I just pulled a string out of my cat and now i'm worried

So I am shaking right now after reading people's opinion online. I saw that my cat had a bit of feces stuck out of his butt and decided to pull it, I hadn't realise a string was attached to it. Essentially I pulled a string out of my cat's bum. Then I went on to search about this case and found that you should never pull a string out of a cat because it might damage it's internal organs. Now I don't know what to do and how to handle things. The string was probably around 15cm? Help?

If your cat uses a litter box inside, just watch the stools and if you see blood, take kitty to the vet.

Hannatrinity I'm sorry to hear about your cat and your stress. You should call a Veterinarian.  Keep a very close eye on your cat's behavior.  Write down any vomiting, changes in his usual bathroom or eating habits - anything you observe that's abnormal for him.   Hopefully he will be just fine.  These things happen and you're right to be concerned. Taking the kitty to the doctor is the best thing for the both of you.

  Blessings,
  Melinda
