Hi Maddie, first, I am deeply sorry you lost your darling Toby. What a beauty he was. Pets make all the difference, I know.
Smudge is a perfect name for your new sweet boy. So wonderful of you to rescue him! I think once he investigates every nook and cranny, he'll not get into so much mischief. Sound like you guys are a perfect fit!
Congratulations to you both for finding each other! : )
Hello everyone, well here is a picture of my new companion, who I got today, He is about a year old, and was left behind when a family moved. He has been busy exploring. I have a tiny bungalow, but he is into everything. Already climed on top of hich cupboard, and had to be rescued. Has knocked down table lamp and photograph, and waled all over computer keyboard when I am typing!! He is a tabby with white, and as he has a smudge on his nose, I have called him Smudge.
He has already curled up with me when I was watching TV and sat on my lap. He is very friendly, and not nervous. I feel lonely without a pet in the house.
Hi Maddie,
I was diagnosed with depression a few years ago, and having a pet was the best thing that ever happened to me! Happy to hear the joy of animals is helping other people!
Good for you! I just rescued a young cat and it has been a great experience. My husband and I have two rescued dogs and another, older cat. We just lost our oldest pet - a 20-year-old cat and it was very hard. This new kitty is just little lover! She was at the humane society and on sale because she had been there a long time. Luckily we came along when we did and got this amazing new family member. Our existing cats were so old we had forgotten how much energy a young cat can have! good luck to you and bless you for saving a life!
OH my Maddie I am soooo very happy you've made this decision!....I was so sorry to read about Toby's story and all the sorrow you went thru.
Yes we do need a companion and those poor little souls at a rescue shelter do need us as well..I am so glad you've made this choice.
Keep us posted and we'll look forward to the big news and some photos.....and welcome to the Cat forum!!!!
