Is it normal for our cat to be more...mellow after a spay?

We took our cat, roughly two years old, to be spayed last Thursday. She stayed overnight and we brought her home Friday. She seems to be doing well; eating, drinking and using the litter box and hey incision looks good, but all she seems to want to do is lay around and asleep. She gets up and moves and is very alert, and seems to still love the attention, but she prefers to stay in the kennel we set up for her instead of being in the rest of the house. Is this normal? I've read online that recovery can depend on the litter of kittens she's already had, which is two. (One before we got her and one after we got her, which we didn't know she was pregnant when we got her)

Is she still on pain medication? That would make her more lethargic than normal or else she's just taking an extra long time to clear her system of the anesthesia drugs....usually it doesn't take more than a couple days but if all else seems normal as far as eating, drinking etc than I shouldn't think you need to be overly concerned . Do her ears feel warm? That would indicate a fever and possible internal infection, if she's not herself within a few days It wouldn't hurt to have the Vet have a look at her and take her temp. Good luck
