Joint Problem In Kittens

Kitten one year old appears to have a hip joint dislocated. It holds it's hind leg out at an angle from it's body and can't put any weight on it.

Hey guys thanks for the help but I have another question. This kitten I have told you about, the one with the dislocated hip. The kitten looks to be getting better!!! He can now jump onto the cat food can (a metal garbage can) and is using his foot more and more. Do you think his hip is back in place?

Zoey please find a way to get this kitty to a Vet clinic, he needs you to help him, like pip says if you cannot afford it than please take kitty to a shelter so he will be taken care of, you cannot leave him in pain....

read a comment to another poster from our wonderful Vet in the General Animal Health forum....

There isn't any way one can help a cat with a dislocation, unless one is a vet who knows the creature's anatomy.

Please, get the kitten to a vet.

If you can not afford to do so, contact a local animal shelter and give kitty up to folks who can give her/him the care it needs.
