Good luck with Luna, I do hope she can feel good and safe enough to give you more sleep time soon...
Maybe shes just telling you how much she loves you and all her new family.
One of my "little monsters" ( I call them this way previously to Lady gaga),Lucky was always a lot talkative and I just get some minutes more in the morning after she be 2 yo - and they never had any trauma, were home born and lovely cared for me and mother cat.
To tell you the truth ,she was the first I decided to keep - people wouldnt like a scared and boring baby like that ,rehome her would be a hell... Our luck :-)
she sounds like a beautiful kitty, you'll have to upload a photo of her on your profile page so we can all take a look:)
I'm so glad she now has a loving home, sounds like she went through some traumatic experiences and is now just needing extra reassurance that she is loved and won't be abandoned again...and perhaps a talkative nature as well :)
I will look into the product, thank you.
Yes she is spayed. As for what kind kind of cat she is Siberian. I believe her talkative nature is just part of her personality. I know she was in the adoption circuit for at least 8 months and was continually sponsered by a local company in hopes she would find a home.
I was told upon her adoption for the SPCA that she dislikes other cats and was abused in some way by her former owner (when I asked for details they said they didn't have them on hand, something to do with her being sponsered by the company that brought her from the local shelter to the SPCA).
Perhaps she wasn't given attention and craves it so much now. We give her all the love we can. Maybe she was left alone for long amounts of time and she fears being alone? Who knows. Anyways I've started playing with her before bedtime and that seems to ware her out a little. Gives me a few more minutes of sleep everyday haha.
What type of cat is Luna? Is she of the Siamese or Burmese family? They tend to be more vocal although Any kind of cat can behave like this; it could just be her personality.
Sorry to ask an obvious question, but she is spayed, yes?
hi and welcome, sorry missed your post till now......of course she is part of your family, and NO one here would ever suggest you give her up never...
since medical issues have been ruled out it has to be a behavioral thing, I can suggest one product called FELIWAY, its all natural and supposedly calms them. I can say I myself have seen no improvement for my spray happy kitty, but I do know it helps for road trips and many others swear by it. I will give you a link to it on amazon, many Vet clinics also carry it as do good pet stores.
other than that I can look up some homeopatic products for you that are safe for cat use...I've used many for other issues with good success. let me know if your interested ok
