Nice anniversary today.

Lord Buffingham Tyger of Manada, aka Buff, is 2 years old today.

He had a rough start, was rescued at just under 3 weeks of age on 29 June 2014. We adopted him and his cousin Cooper (born 27 May) on 19 October 2014.

From a kitty who the rescuers doubted would make, and if he did, lose that horrible looking back left leg...he is a lively, healthy, loving little boy cat with enough confidence for any 3 other kitties.

Buff and Cooper have been good for Miss Teia, helping her discover more of her inner kitten.

It's amazing so many of us here never had children. CML, Apple, Pip, ZQ, Diamondfox and me.  I know there are more, but I forget their screen names; they've been gone a long time.  

Apple..haha, I couldn't agree with you more.  And I've only had one at a time!  The members with several cats...you all are my heros!

With us, it was a decision to not bring kids into a marriage where both of us were in the Service, in jobs which were dangerous.

Yes I can imagine how busy these babies are keeping you....Mia is looking down on you all with a huge grin! They are beautiful, enjoy, they grow much too quickly. My Abby soon turns one!! Xoxo

Bless you for taking such good care of Cooper.  If anyone can bring a kitty back from the brink it is you and Anita.  What wonderful parents and home Buff and Cooper now have.  Ms Teia is very lucky to have two boys who both respect and have taught her what it is to be kitten-like.  Such a happy story.  

CML...my heart goes out to you.  Your two boys (are they boys or girls?) are certainly keeping you on your toes!! I admire you for adopting kittens.  I would never! lol

LOL! It was in a moment of weakness. Guess that is why they say wait a while. I did look at some older cats that looked like Mia--Guess that was not meant to be, no MAGIC THERE.
Now these 2 brother and sister....I think they were waiting for me--I hope Mia had a hand in their choice.
I never had children so you understand ....and now I know why. I swear they are conspiring against me when I turn my back.

CML I never had kids as well ,it was an option and after the cats came I also knew I was COMPLETLY right on this .My patience is enough just for cats... :-)

Congratulation to Buff on growing into a strong little man and Happy 2nd Birthday---by the way Pip, how long does it take for  kittens to calm down.

My two are now a little over 3 months and Mama is worn out trying to keep them out of trouble.

If Buff is any example, longer than 2 years.  However if Cooper is the example, about 2 - 3 months.
