Rabbit is shrinking??

I've had my rabbit for about 7yrs now and she now has started to get a big lump on her face near her lips. Her eye is also looking infected and gunky. My mom wants me to bath her but i'm not sure if i want to, cause i could make things worse. Shes normally fat and huge but shes getting thin and small..is she going to pass away from old age? or could she live longer? I think shes reaching 8 years.

For anyone with this problem in the future: Get a small tube of Terramycin - they have it on amazon & pet stores & farm stores. It's about $6-12 or so. Works wonders for the gooey eye symptoms. Sorry about Dalbun.

I'm going to ask to have this moved to the bunny section ( :)  ) but my wife has had rabbits and she said it will need antibiotics. don't wash it, it's a bad idea (as said above).

Good luck with your bunny.

8 is about the avg life span of a rabbit. ive had a rabbit resently pass. but about 2 years before she developed the same stuff on her. i am not an expert but i would not recommend giving her a bath unless she is already used to it. If shes not it would make things worse because of unfamiliar situation. My experience with rabbits are they dont like water. I would just spend as much time with her. But for he eyes i would buy like just regular over the counter eye wash.. to flush her eyes out
