Scabs on head and neck?

My cat is about ten years old and really healthy for her age. She is an indoor and outdoor cat we let her out most days unless it's raining. Lately when I let her on her bed and beck I can feel these long scabs I can't see them well because her fur is so thick and at first I thought it was just fleas or her getting in fights with other neighbor cats but I've kept her inside the past few days and they're still coming after I give her flea medicine.

Hello Brookdi.
I'm so sorry that it's taken me so long to respond to you.

How is your kitty's scab situation?  Any better?   You were right to suspect fights and /or fleas at first.   You have to keep a very watchful eye on your kitty since infections can move so quickly in our little ones.

That being said, there are many skin conditions which result in scabs.  Also being outdoors can result in infections from being wounded in a fight and these can abcess so quickly.

By now I suspect she's either cleared up or you've already had her examined by a Veterinarian.

I'd like to know how she is doing if you don't mind and if you can forgive my tardiness in getting back to you.

I hope you're both well.

Blessings,
  Melinda
