There's a lump in my cats neck...Can you please help me!!

I have a kitty that formed a lump on the left side of his neck on Friday. It was big and went to the front of his neck by his throat. When I came home on Sunday it was an opened wound and pussing out yellow ooz. Can you please tell me what this could be?? And if I took him to the vet how much it might cost?? Thank you!!

well dear you must take this kitty to the Vet and asap...this is likely a cyst that is full of infection and needs to be treated and fast!! ....I'm not sure about the cost, the antibiotics are cheap the exam will prob. be around $50. if you can not afford this please call you're human society for help, there maybe a program there that helps with cheaper Vet care? or ask the Vet Clinic about making payments on the bill.
but Please do something and real soon for kitty or you will loose him!
