all cats WERE well, now one sneezing again!!
Remember the whole Spirit & Bob saga: Spirit got the UTI and then URI, my other 2 got the URI, bot Bob got pneumonia-then everyone finally recovered nicely. This afternoon, Spirit's sneezing again and looks like the start of a stuffy nose-just how the virulent URI started last time!!! What happened?? She still has a great appetite and her eyes are bright and clear-is it possible she just has allergies? I hope this whole thing isn't starting all over again-HELP!
no spirit NOT a pet supply store a HUMAN HEALTH FOOD STORE...these brands are all human grade supplements. the ones for pet alone cost tons more and are actually inferior quality....buy at your own vitamin shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or at iherb.
ok-thanks so much! as i said, my heart just drops to hear a sneeze from any of them after that way too close call w/Bob & his pneumonia. Bob's only 3 or so but Spirit's 12 and I don't want her getting sick in any if there's any way at all i can control it. the near pet supply store is closed already by me, but i'll check there tomorrow. Thanks again, not just for thre help but the continued support!
with URI cats its VERY important as Jade said to continue with the Lysine, they will need to be on it probably for life to keep their immune systems strong or this will keep happening.as with any supplement its in kitties best interest to buy the ones with the least amount of fillers or additives. I will give you a list of the best brand names for cats, its avail at any health food store where good vitamin/supplements are found.
for an acute attack use up to 500mg for 1 week, than 250mg continually if required.
OR if the symptoms are only happening occasionally use the 250mg for a week or so...
sprinkle it in their wet food, or mix with a bit of water and give via dropper..
its also avail from your Vet,however will be more expensive and I've found theirs have alot of other stuff mixed in that aren't necessary.

-JARROW 500mg capsules
-NOW FOODS...powder
-SOURCE NATURALS powder
if not avail at a local Health Food store I order often from iherb, their prices are very good and the shipping is cheap too...they are an excellent company, I have placed many orders from them for all sorts of vitamins and supplements for my boys...
