hi everyone, found this excellent site that gives great advice about cat aggression....

hahah I love that Pip 'their bond servants' its so true isnt it LOL I agree with what you said it could well be in Tweety's case she wanted more attention
Good evening;
As margy and kk have implied, kitty is a predator. She is, even in the small package, at the top of the food chain.
My kitty Chesapeake will bite me from time to time, I react as an older cat would, a little tap on her forehead with my finger and a firm "no bite!" It works quite well, until the next time. =)
I have found that one can lessen the incidents by giving kitty playtime, which does not involve direct contact with your hands as part of the recreation equipment: string, feathers, throwing plush mice, leather laces...
Have some patience, tempered with kindness and remember that kitties have a much different view if the world than do we, their bond servants. ;-)
my cat is 15 months old male neutered an only child who is totally pampered. He is a alpha male, very dominant andcan get agressive..However ilove him so much and try to implement more play time and wear him out also installed a bird feeder outside his main window which he loves, as he is a indoor companion. I think some cats, mine was from a litter of a stray, have stronger ancestral dna. If you watch a pride of large wild cats playing their is alot of rough play. Kiddiekat is not mean but if I react with strong agression back to him his eyes widen and he's ready to go on attack. we both have to back off and start over. Bottom line cats are not dogs! Love the cat in them.
I had this with mine when she found me she was a stray, she went through a phase of trying to bite me, I firmly said NO so she knew I ddn't like it , whilst walking away from her. after a few times she understood I didn't like it and she stopped.... I have had my Tweety for over 2 years she has never done it since and I adore her .
