Are you meaning a prescription diet such as Hills for urinary crystals? Is the problem oxolate crystals?
Or struvite crystals???? If you respond I should be able to help
The struvite crystals. Sorry for the late reply. I need to double check & the vet's office was closed. They haven't been able to give any guidance or help other then only feed this perception dry food & it's ok to let other cat eat too.
The really problem is can't find a vet here I trust.
We seemed to just log on at same time, good it's struvite, that's an easy fix.....no matter what the Vet tells you DO NOT feed dry food, prescription or not, dry food is what leads to these crystals in the first place!!! Feed a good quality canned diet, preferably no grains and especially no gravies those are all carbs.
I will give you lots to read...by a very good Veterinary nutritionist. For even further reading when you get to the BLUE highlighted words click on those links, you will want to read the link for crystals...will learn tons
This opened my eyes when my boy was dx'd with crystals and high Ph over 4 years ago, no problems since
I'm looking forward to the reading materiel.
